What a start
1-1 6 mins, two great finishes.

1-2 WBA, 10 mins
Baggies 3-1 up but VAR rules out the goal.
Still 1-2
VAR slowing everything down
Let’s not go ahead with VAR, that was ridiculously long.
Missed penalty
VAR system is used in MLS.
Delays are nowhere near that long - the system is intended to be used where there's clear and obvious evidence the wrong decision was made, so if the ref is consulted it's 99% that the decision will be overturned.
Not watching the bin dippers match but it sounds like the system isn't being used correctly.
The right decision was reached by using VAR BUT where do you draw the line for going back to review a decision .? One thing it might stop is this blocking and holding at corners if players know they may get caught ?
I wonder if West Brom would’ve got a VAR review if that penalty scenario happened to them?
Steve Mac certainly wouldn’t call for it like he was against Salah.
1-3 again and this ref can’t make a decision for himself
First half almost 50 mins in.
Correct decisions reached. But is that making the game too technical?
Again, not seeing it so can't comment on the game in question but the system does work if run properly.
Example; MLS game, player scored. Goal given - defenders protest it was a hand goal.
Real time decision - goal given.
Players celebrating - ref gets notified camera angles showed it was a handball, that he should go to view the footage. Footage displayed to ref, goal disallowed, free kick given and striker booked for the handball. Process took less than a minute.
That's entirely workable, don't know what's going wrong in the Liverpool game.
VAR just used to confirm 6 (six) WBA players offside for a disallowed goal
Not really. Like I said, when used correctly, it works quickly and accurately.
Seems like today all manner of decisions were made to review that should not have been reviewed,
MLS process is video ref in MLS HQ has access to numerous camera angles. They follow the ongoing game. If they see a decision made that was clearly wrong - as in the example I gave of a handballed goal, angles clearly showed the handball then the video ref contacts the ref, tells him they have an angle that clearly indicates the decision should be reversed. Ref goes to see that footage, sees the handball, corrects the decision.
At no time should the system be used for "well, I don't really know if I was right" decisions. MLS it's used purely to correct decisions where evidence shows wrong decision was made - should never be used to confirm on field decisions were right.
