Appealing for witnesses...
Hope she makes a speedy recovery.
Edit: sorry, I just realised you said you saw the aftermath, so not a witness.

I was playing a gig tonight and saw the scenes just after it happened.
A gritter van turned left at the “no left turn” bit at the top of St Mary’s. Ran over a girl riding a push bike, and then managed to reverse over her leg for the second time. No flesh left on the leg and might have lost an arm as well. Girl is believed to be in her twenties.
Horrific.

Must've been horrible to see. Sounds like a real tragedy. How did you know it reversed back?
God that sounds awful, poor girl.
That end of town is becoming (is) lethal.
Wasn't there 2 accidents with Cardiff Bus, just a bit further down the road last year, with I believe 0ne person killed.
So many signs and lane changes, make it a nightmare in that area.
Thoughts are with the young lass

Poor girl !
Not the actions of a sober driver??? (Note to self: don't rush to judgment)
Too many road signs to understand and too much confusion as to where you can and can't go in such a small area. It's a nightmare down that end of town.
Hope she pulls through.
^^^absolutely.
If you have not driven down that end for a while it is very easy to get caught out with you turning the wrong way.... and receiving a driving fine!
In this case though you'd think the driver would know exactly where he was going.
Dreadful accident for all concerned, driver and witnesses included.
Yes, hopefully the young lady pulls through.
Says she is in a critical but stable condition. Poor girl.
