    the Cherrypickers where the 11th hussars, named after the colour of their ridng breeches. Raised and paid for by Lord cardigan they were slaughtered on mass at the charge of the Light brigade.

    The Cheesemongers” - 1st Life Guards - Dates from 1788 when the regiment was being re-organised. Some commissions were refused because the officers concerned were the sons of merchants and therefore not, “gentlemen.”

    Another Pointless one but the other week there was an an anagram round on TV panel shows. The anagram was IQ.
