    I don't think it's been banned in Germany, It has to be carried out by a person who is medically trained in carrying out such a procedure.

    Which is what happens here overwhelmingly.

    Mohels are highly skilled, highly trained. The one who performed the circumcision on one of my sons noticed he had a hernia, which NHS staff had failed to spot.

    That is anecdotal evidence at best, and is hardly a fact that makes Mohels more "observant" than NHS staff. Did your son have a choice in the matter, by the way?
