    Iceland to ban circumcision

Iceland's mooted circumcision ban sparks religious outrage

    Slow but progressive.

Personally I think it’s a wise decision, a polo neck is very advantageous in that climate.

There was talk about banning circumcisions in Swansea. Apparently you have to be a complete prick to come from there.

Barbaric act. FGM is worse, much worse, but seeing kids being circumcised for little more than "religious" or "cultural" reasons is as backward as it gets. Parents rites, or kid's rights?

I sincerely hope that the UK does the same thing, and that any parent flying back from their God-forsaken hell hole of a country with their kids having been brutally assaulted by a vicar with a knife gets time inside. It is child abuse.

Bloody Hell, no jokes about the freezer centre yet!

it may be far less serious than FGM, but it is bizarre and completely unnecessary.

I have a friend who married a yank and when they had kids he insisted on getting the boys circumcised so that they would fit in. Really odd.

I'm glad iceland are banning it and I would support a ban here too

Is this the thread where we discuss our cocks? Been waiting for one of these, too shy to start it.

There is no feeling like having your foreskin pulled back by a vagina. Being circumcised must be like scoring in a goal where no nets have been put up. Sad days indeed.

No, just a measure to prevent parents mutilating their children for no good reason.

At least the Muslims and Jews have something in common on this one.

I don't think it's been banned in Germany, It has to be carried out by a person who is medically trained in carrying out such a procedure.

Which is what happens here overwhelmingly.

Mohels are highly skilled, highly trained. The one who performed the circumcision on one of my sons noticed he had a hernia, which NHS staff had failed to spot.

That is anecdotal evidence at best, and is hardly a fact that makes Mohels more "observant" than NHS staff. Did your son have a choice in the matter, by the way?
