BBC keep mentioning Figure Skating on their Sport pages.

This really isn't a sport is it?

    Wardrobe malfunctions
"Is this the greatest olympic love story?"

I'm not doubting that the contestants are talented, they plainly are, but if Ice Skating is an Olympic Sport, then Ballroom Dancing needs to be added to the Summer Olympics too. Although, they already have synchronized swimming which is another joke of a sport. And those bloody dancing horses.

Anyway - Ice skating, sport or no sport?

Anything that requires a judge is not sport.

How much Curling is there? Jeez I quite enjoy it but it seems to take up half of the coverage each night, games are 3 hours + long and they seem to have played almost two games a day.

And how many f'ing times do they need to say 'Eve Muirhead'.

I aslo find the snowboarding a bit repetitive. Obviously talented as hell but they all seem to do the same thing.

I find traditional skiing more exiting as it's a speed race and same with skeleton, bobsleigh. Ski Jumping is still cool

And Elise Christie? Is that her name. If ever there was a god telling you that your luck has run out and to move into punditry then it's happening now.

Elise Christie is still being interviewed, on making the main BBC news, vowing to be back in four years.
Sorry love you've had your chance, actually chances, 3 of them, someone else is having your seat on the plane, just bow out now!

Those curling girls doing the sweeping in front of the stone, do they get a medal?

To put it another way, it isn't a sport if you have to be told who has won.

Isn't a referee in football or rugby just a judge too ?

Not really. a ref simply upholds the rules, the scores are obvious to the spectators - though not always by the TMO
