Been snowing heavily for around 4 hours in Redditch. First 3 hours it just melted, started sticking about an hour ago and there's probably about an inch on the ground now.

I saw in CF 14 , 33,329 dry snowflakes fall in a 15 minute window, over a piece of ground ,50 x 50 meters , In desperation I rang weather watch for some reassurance as to my safety.

Latest form CF14 , very worryingly the was a swirling snow storm that lasted 23 seconds ,I ran in panic to bus stop ,flakes were huge , and swirling without care .

I did notice a lot of millennium snowflakes arriving driving home early , after throwing themselves at the mercy of the section managers with a doleful look in their eyes as they pointed to the windows ,whilst muttering will I ever see my children again and the bread and milk will be stripped from the shelves in the next hour

What is it with bread and milk? Is tea and toast that important to people? Surely you’d want to stock up on veggies and what not if you were expecting to be snowed in for days on end. Not that that ever happens in South Wales.

Latest it has stopped but folks are out shoveling the flakes away and looking bewildered

Fine stuff coming down in St Mellons this morning.
Light dusting on the ground - but it isn't "sticking", it blows around like bits of shredded polystyrene foam.
Laying a foundation for the heavy stuff that's forecast for tonight?

It snowed all night in Sheffield. Buses off. Schools closed. Not seen a gritter for weeks. 4-5 inches of snow everywhere. And chilly!

FFS! Could have done without it. I know the council have to make a call but I bet the weather is nowhere near as bad as they are forecasting. A light dusting at worse.
