Following on from the drinking at the rugby thread

How would you react if you found out one of your mates, or a male member of your family was guilty of domestic violence?
Would you just ignore it?, would you have a word with them about it?, or would you kick them into touch? (Not literally!)

The obvious answer is report it. Ignore it? Makes you as bad. Have a word? Chances are they would then take that out on their partner. Kick them into touch? That's pretty much the same as ignoring it.

Would you tell them you’d reported them?

    YOU'RE ASKING A DIFFERENT QUESTION!

Difficult to say, that's a different scenario entirely.

Reporting it is the only option that would have a decent chance of stopping it. That for me is a no-brainer.

If you then report it, numerous things can happen if you reveal you reported it so it's an individual call based upon your interpretation of what would occur. If guy/woman was a psycho roider and you felt they may assult you if you revealed you reported them... you'd be silly to do so.
