Thread: The stat that matters is the score. Thankfully.

The stat that matters is the score. Thankfully.

The other stats suggest Barnsley were the better side.

Only after we went 2-0 up.

It's all about results in this league.

We were also missing Morrison Ralls Gunnarson and our £6mio striker who you would all expect to be in the starting line up of our strongest XI. A great result in the circumstances and another game ticked off. I hope Paterson’s knee injury isn’t too bad, we can’t have him missing Saturday as well as the others

To be fair BA, Barnsley were attacking us all through the game - they won't go down - unfortunately they are not playing any of our main competitors for the rest of the season

Given our ridiculous injury situation, especially with Morrison and Ralls (two candidates for player of the season) being out, Bryson and Harris have played very little football, and Barnsley are nowhere near as bad as their league position suggests, I thought that was an excellent three points tonight. Oh and the wurzels lose and now have a big player banned for three games.
I’m over the bloody moon I am, and having a nice cold beer to celebrate.

    Bring on the brummies!

At 2-0 we were cruising and in control but lost momentum when Grujic and Patterson went off.

We gave away a poor goal and handed the initiative to Barnsley. That said, we could and should have scored late on to make the game safe.

Still a good 3 points and keeps us in the driving seat for top 2 finish.

Its a great result. Any win is at this stage of the season. Crowd was great tonight. Right behind the team and cheered the team home.

These injuries are a massive concern. We badly need players back. As it is it could be worse on Saturday.

    Great 3 points considering.

I'm sorry, but a flurry after going 2 nil down doesn't suggest anything to me.

Anyone got the stat on the amount of passes they made to us in open play under hardly no pressure?

If we played as badly as some on here suggest then the sign of a good team is that they can win even when playing badly or having been outplayed.

And more importantly, we're doing it when it really counts at the business end of the season.
