    EFL

Should fine Derby and use the money to fund our travel for the rearranged game.

Or maybe things stay the same for the next few games and Derby is effectively a free hit (as it was today perhaps but with more games to go)

    Re: EFL

would have been a lot worse if Villa and Fulham both won yesterday. Im looking at it as a game closer to promotion and a free hit at 3 points when we do play the game.

We can get Ralls and Gunnarson fit by the time we play them next.

This was purely a club decision.....neither Derby Police or Council made the call nor were CCFC consulted - It stinks

Here's one for you. What if the EFL are behind it?

    Re: EFL

The EFL have accepted the reasons for postponement put forward by Derby - although it is unclear exactly who made the call. The match officials must have been involved in some way (if only to take a view on the condition of the pitch), and the fact that DCFC had 'discussions' with the SAG, the Council and the police doesn't mean that the decision was made by the police or the Safety Advisory Group. I don't think anyone who has seen the photos and video footage around Pride park - including most Derby fans - or the sequence of tweets from Derbyshire Police, the club shop and the stadium restaurant, will see this as anything but a cynical piece of cheating by DCFC to avoid a fixture at a time when they were likely to lose.

    The EFL statement:

Postponement: Derby County v Cardiff City

    An EFL spokesman said:

“The decision to postpone this afternoon’s fixture was made first thing on Sunday morning following discussions between Derby County, Derbyshire Police and the local Safety Advisory Group (SAG).

“It was taken in the interests of spectator safety and followed heavy overnight snow falling in the Derby area which had built up on the roads surrounding the stadium.

“Cardiff City were informed of the decision and the reasons behind it as soon as it was reached. An announcement was made at 8.30am.

“The EFL is satisfied from the information shared with us that these were the reasons the match was postponed and will provide Cardiff City with the opportunity to proivde any additonal information / evidence they feel is relevant, before responding further.”

    Re: EFL

So they are saying it was down to snow on the roads around the stadium, which is totally contrary to the photos we've all seen .

Whereas Derby were saying it was due to staff not being able to get to work

So who's telling the truth ?

And the BBC are listing the fixture as 'Match postponed - frozen pitch' which must also have come from Derby County sources.

They can't get their story straight.

Derby County ... can't think of a more suitable word than 'cheats'. There should be a points deduction for not letting the police or referee decide whether the game should be postponed. It's not just Cardiff but every team in with a chance of automatic promotion or the play-offs are now disadvantaged due to the inappropriate action taken by Derby County F.C. What goes around, comes around. Derby HAD a lot of respect from the football community.
