    Aussies love to take every opportunity to "bend the rules".


    My mate went out there for the ions tour a few years ago.
    He said they were a surly lot who thought they had a divine right to beat the poms at everything.

    They even went to the trouble of covering empty seat with yellow plastic bags to make it look like the ground was full of oz supporters.

    I cannot believe that the Aussie cricket board haven't sacked him, from his comments he knew what was going on and also implicated "the management team".

    If this goes unpunished then this will be disastrous for cricket.

    We are living in the post-Trump era where previous norms of behaviour and accepted boundaries have been blown away.

    It doesn't matter how much someone lies, cheats, defames or acts like an incompetent idiot - just tweet a distraction and move on.

    Smith and the Australians seem to think they can just brazen this out and there will be no consequences. Maybe they are right.
