Forum settings - help!

I have asked about this before and got no reply but trying again.

On PC/laptop:

I have got '40 posts per page' selected in options, but only 30 display. Cannot get it to change.

The font on the whole forum changed on me this morning - now bigger than before - without me changing any settings. I don't like it and want to change it back - but can't alter the display to what it was yesterday (and previous x years).

Is this just a glitch for me or is it a forum issue? Is something disabled in options?

Ok - not sure on the posts per page bit but the fonts should be changed by holding down the Ctrl key on your keyboard and scrolling your mouse.

Thanks. I didn't know that - fixed now.

Still can't sort out the posts per page - though that has been a problem since last year.

Of course. I move around. Just passed 1000 posts on ****, and regularly pop over to OOCC to check out the Cryptic Footballer thread.

Not sure why that should stop this forum loading 40 posts to a page though!

Hi Jon,

I think you've sorted the font thing out, that was nothing to do with here.

The posts per page had been changed in the admin settings. So 30 is the max you can get at the moment. I changed because I look on my phone using the desktop version of the board. As you can imagine it's quite small so I was looking at ways at trying to have a bit less info on there to see if loaded up quicker and was easier to read.

It didn't seem to make too much difference so I just left it rather than logging in again to change it back.

Thanks for the reply Mike. I would prefer 40 posts per page, but understand the reasons why you changed it. I was more concerned that I couldn't get a setting change to work. At least I know that's the way it's supposed to be (for now) - not a fault.

And yes font sorted. One of those simple things I used to know but then forgot (Thanks again Maccy Blue).
