    Stabbing in Roath

IS it me or have there been an increase in stabbings recently in cardiff? I was reading a report a few months ago, it said that cardiff has a relative low rate of such events, but the last couple of months I seem to be seeing a new port every week.

That part of Roath is usually ok. Drink in the Albany pub for 20 years and never seen one problem. However, if you head half a mile towards the Claude, claude rd etc where there are lots of bedsits etc, things can change rapidly.

How about 20 years for carrying, and life for using one. That should bring the figures down a bit.

It seems to be increasing all around the country, was talking to a cab driver about it last week as there were reports of multiple stabbings in Birmingham

I'd introduce random metal detector tests too.

It's been coming unfortunately as it spreads here from over the border:

"Mr Jukes said there had also been a rise in young drug dealers coming on trains from London, sometimes armed with knives."
