Thread: Wales vs Uruguay

    Wales vs Uruguay

Still 0-0 half an hour in. We've dominated possession but not much else. Suicidal passing among the back 4 put Suarez through who rounded Hennessy but could only hit the post.

We are missing Ampadu, he's class in front of the defence, and has good distribution too.

Against France, he was class and so calm and composed on the ball. A stand out player and a great prospect for the future.

Tbf in this match we're holding our own. Almost scored from a free kick and Uruguay haven't looked that threatening.

I think that's an excellent first half performance. Loads of chances and their keeper has had to make 3 or 4 excellent saves. We're playing better I thought we would (cough) nice to see such a positive approach!

I'm not one for bashing Ashley Williams, but he just isn't up to it at the moment.

The only word I have understood so far is 'sloppy'.

Pressing the red button gives the commentary in English if you're watching on S4C...

I don't know if that was Hartson or Tudor Jones, but the next word was 'seconds'

I assume your watching the S4C coverage? I think my online stream is Portuguese as the only word I understood was "Obrigado" and that was on a half time advert.

Thanks. Can't get that to work on Freesat though

He's made 2 caps, one of them was a sub. Let's not get too carried away.

I now have English subtitles over a Welsh commentary!

Heard the score in the stadium being announced in English as 'zero one', ffs.

    1 nil Uraguay.
I've only watched about 15 minutes and we are awful defensively.
    Williams and Chester

We look a different team with him, and a different team without him. We don't have any similar players to him, so what I am saying is we miss the role that he played in front of the defence.

Not looking good in defence. Declan looking a little lost, as is Ashley.

Oh look, Bale is playing as a striker.

    Re: Wales vs Uruguay

The commentators identification of players is bloody shocking

See if you can spot the difference the next time he plays.

He's played 2 games, one of which was a sub, the other was against Panama. We miss Ledley and Ramsey, not Ampadu.

Ledley hasn't got Ampadu's distribution or reading of the game.
