Thread: Two more wins

  1. #1

    Two more wins

85 points will be enough. Massive game on Monday night
Those of us old enough to remember know that we are owed something there 1970-71. Also an April game saw our season ended.

Great effort today from the forwards particularly. We might have had 6

    Re: Two more wins

    6 points out of 24?

I don't think that will be enough. Fulham have taken 16 of their 18.

We could conceivably win our next three games and still only be 7 points ahead of Fulham with 15 still left to play for.

4 more wins will be enough I think

Dont think two wins is enough. Fulham would only need 14 points to overtake us. Four wins minimum in my opinion.

Remember that night well. Masons arms Whitchurch and phoning the echo for the result. Crushing blow

Fulham would only have 4 games left in that scenario or 12 points to play for as we have a game in hand.

OK, 12 left to play for. Still, I don't see 6 more points being enough for automatic promotion.

    Re: Two more wins

Fulham can get to 89 with ease, so we need at least another 11 points from 8 games. 4 wins should do it or 2 wins & 6 draws

Personally 3 wins & 3 draws will do for me.

2 more wins will never, ever be enough.

    Re: Two more wins

If we only win 2 more wed need 6 drawsa as well and that might not be enough.
    15 points needed. 12 minimum.

    Re: Two more wins

Sheff weds, Brentford and millwall will be tough games especially with the 2 away from home

    Re: Two more wins

The Villa result supports my honest belief that 2 more wins will be enough.

85 points is a massive total.

    Re: Two more wins

3 wins and a coupe of draws to be sure of it. Very achievable imo we are the form team afterall

I was only 6 years old but I can still remember my Dad coming back from that match and how bitterly disappointed he was. It felt like he never quite got over it!

    He probably didn’t.
It has haunted me ever since.
Beaten 5-1 is hard to take.

2 more wins, you're having a laugh. Fulham have not lost a game in this league since December 2017 and you think all we need is 2 more wins If this turns out to be what we achieve we'll be in the play off's for sure.

As things stand we need 15 points and we are up, Fulham can`t match our total then. Every point they drop makes it easier. But 2 more wins from 8 will not be enough.

    Re: Two more wins

On paper Fulham have the easiest of fixtures - Leeds, Reading, Millwall, Sheffield Wed, Brentford and Sunderland four of which are at home. Of course anything could happen but I wouldn't write off Fulham just yet.

But none of those are easy are they?
