Thread: I thought Swansea were safe but...

I thought Swansea were safe but...

... it's tightening up again at the bottom and their fixtures aren't that good:

    WBA (a)
    Everton (h)
    Man C (a)
    Chelsea (h)
    B'mouth (a)
    Stoke (h)

and Southampton at home to be fitted in somewhere

Sadly they’ll be ok. That unexpected 6 points against Liverpool and Arsenal will be the difference.

Southampton’s run is horrific, and they are shite anyway, and I don’t see either, let alone both, Huddersfield and Stoke finishing above them

Swansea are riding their luck well at the moment so I wouldn't write them off by any means. Did you notice that all the clubs below them also lost today (except Stoke who weren't playing)? The biggee is the next game against West Brom.

Albion are down already, if they can’t beat them they might be in trouble. Tough games ahead

I think if they win at West Brom, they'll survive. If they don't, I still fancy them to get a result at home to a crap Everton team.

I would want them to survive so we can have a local derby should we get promoted..

As previously said beating Liverpool and Arsenal rescued them. The other teams are so shite they won’t pick up many more.

Hopefully an epic derby in front of 33,000 at the CCS next years

Will that be a record attendance a this derby?

No, a few games during the 50s topped over 40,000.

I'm a boring fuucker for these things.

    They are probably safe.
WBA and Stoke looked doomed and with Huddersfield in free fall that's the probable bottom three IMHO.
A local derby adds to the experience therefore I hope ( assuming we don't implode) that they stay up.

    And Southampton?

They've been the jammiest club ever with getting the right manager at the right time.

I think Southampton look more likely to go down than Huddersfield

They are in a mess but for me Southampton have enough quality to potentially get themselves out of trouble.
Huddersfield have done far better than I thought but I get the impression that they have just run out of steam.
The flaw in my argument is that it is all based on the weekly Football Focus & MOTD highlights so don't hold me to my prediction based on the world according to Shearer and Lawrenson.

JB's will get 6 points from that lot which will be enough unfortunately.

Southamptons run is the most difficult. I think they are down.

He will be in his way mid to late November as usual......they do have some tricky games coming up mind, probably not get many points but none of the teams below will either. Still, they are in turmoil as they hate the yanks so all good.

Think I’d rather be a plastic hooligan than a jack to be honest. 🤘

They only "want their club back" when they're losing.
Funny ole thing that a few wins changes their mood.
