    Midfield the main problem tonight

Pat seemed to be on 75% energy.

Grujic was mostly anonymous and off the pace.

Gunnars was also unable to harass and was often out of position.

Okay - the pitch was very heavy and sapping; but it was the same for both teams. City was were found out by athletic midfielders who seemed to want a result more than us.

The midfield was crying out for Bryson or Damour's energy.

Last 3 games have been against teams who are more than happy to play out wide. It's width that do for us. Goals ends up being scored from a central position for them, but it's the width of of the opposition that pulls us apart. No coincidence it has been against 3 of the top teams. Play around a pedestrian midfield.

How can a midfield get in place when the defenders are playing hoof ball and then the forwsrds get beaten in the air. As someone said the opposition is breaking quick and getting the ball wide leaving our midfield stretched and chasing shadows. Paterson is looking tired and gunnerson not match fit. so cant understand why Damour wasnt on the bench and Bryson brought on instead of Madine.

How does Grealish get away with his games and even gets Man of the Match when Johnstone won them the game. Sooner players like him are seen for what they are the better.

Completely agree about Bryson and Damour. Gunnar couldn't contain grealish.

Paterson is not doing it for me in midfield. Not against the better sides anyway.
