    Re: Masters

Jordan Speith is the man in form
Dustin Johnson is always in with a shout
Justin Rose has looked like he could win in the past
    Don’t write off Mickelson
For an outside bet My money will be on Garcia

Sky Bet are paying 1/5 odds on top 10 finishes for any e/w bets placed before the first tee-off.
There's always the odd long shot who sneaks in to the top 10 do I'm hoping this year it's gonna be any of Grace, Scott, Poulter or Zach Johnson.

I usually go for one I think will have a top 10 chance and then a big outsider. Got mcilroy, just think he has to win another major at some point and after his win last month could be in a good place.

Have picked the big odds yet. Love this tournament though.

Kevin Chappell at 90/1 is fancied for a place by many

Garcia has always been an erratic player and I am glad has won a major as many players like him have failed to do.
Can't see him winning another tbh.

Agree. This tournament got me into golf back in the 70's. Remember watching well into the night with my dad having school the next day.
The setting is second to none IMO.
That said, the Sky coverage, although they cover every aspect and don't miss a thing (unlike the old BBC coverage), it does grate on me. Some of the graphical stats, over enthusiastic presenters and melo-dramatic music for example.
"Less is more" definitely applies in this case.

I'd like another rookie to win it this year or an old European.

It's close between reed, Rory, Speith and Rahm. Gonna be a great finish!

It was fab watching him win last year. I think you enjoyed it too.

Some great memories. I think it’s the best major. Loved Woosie winning in 91 and Norman’s collapse allowing Faldo to win was dramatic. My favourite was Nicklaus charging on the back nine in 86. Utterly riveting.

Agree with all that. Woosie win I was buzzing for days.
So too enjoyed Fuzzy Zoeller play off win in 78 I think it was.
Nicklaus I think must be my all time favourite player.

McIlroy seems to be doing his usual and blowing up at the last. When he's bad he's awful.
Speith on a charge but it's Reed's to lose. Hope Reed wins now.

    Re: Masters

Speith joint leader at -14. Nine under for the day with two to play. Incredible stuff. Fowler also in contention. McIlroy can’t put for toffee today.

    Re: Masters

The tiniest branch of a tree overhanging the fairway on the last cost Spieth big time.
He was almost a cert to make birdie and the course record but ended up making bogey.
Two pars should do it for Reed.

    Rory's had a Weston super

    Re: Masters

Great birdie on 18th by Fowler. Need Reed to drop a shot for a playoff 🤞

    Re: Masters

Reed pars the last, wins by one shot and deserved winner. Brand new champion which is always good to see.
    Surprisingly subdued reception upon winning.
    Apparently he's a bit of a maverick.

Held his nerve really well. Fair play

    Re: Masters

Funny how the crowd have their favourites, thought Mcilroy got a far better reception than Reed. I guess over here any British guy would get the support above an American.
