It was along the ground, the goalie dives the other way and our panties would be wet with excitement. It wasn't a classically shit penalty (easy height to save) at all. Ruddy had a lot to do to stop it.

Having said that, I am drunk.

Gonna be hard to pick ourselves up from that for a trip to Villa (almost feels like an 8-0 thumping would be better for morale), didn't deserve to lose but just lacking a bit of quality really.

Hope the squad don't take it too hard.
When the emotion dies down, we can take heart from many things.
Didn't deserve to lose, especially in that manner.

Both were clear cut. The second was contact inside the area. The ref didn't have the benefit of slow motion, what's your excuse?

    None.
Just seen it again. Inside area.

I'm not saying it was the best penalty of all time.

Why don't players smash it down the middle the goal keeper always got to take the chance and dive

If Ralls had scored the first the 2nd wouldn't have occurred

It was too soft. He tried to place it. If the keeper guesses right he has a good chance of stopping it. Which he did.

Now, had he ****ing smashed it.....

Awful penalty from Madine. Why oh why did we spunk that money on him and ship out Bogle, who actually looked like a goalscorer? Madine just plays as if he's a centre back sent forward for the last five in search of a flukey goal.

Whilst I agree, Madine hit the target. Hoilett did not

Who would have thought revenge could be so so sweet? Ah football, that's why we love it.

    Literally anyone. And everyone.

    Is this your first season?

Hoilett's was bad too. Pilks or Gunnar should have been the takers.

Both penalty decisions correct. Even Keith Andrews agreed with them.

Both penalties awful - but Ruddy was 3 yards off his line when Junior hit the ball.

We're not back to our best, but still should have got something out of that.

Warnock will have to lift the lads for Tuesday.

Sickening feeling tonight - but we are 5 points clear of 3rd with 6 games to go, and I don't think Fulham's easy run in will be as easy as some think.

Not exactly hindsight to suggest a player who looks like he couldn't hit a cow's arse with a banjo shouldn't be taking penalties ahead of two players who've taken them in the past. Had no confidence the moment I saw Madine standing over the ball.

Pilks is on form and has taken pens for City before. I was surprised he didnt take one.

What all the 'doom mongers' on this board tonight are forgetting is that we are still five points ahead of Fulham and seven ahead of Villa with only six games to go. Fulham and Villa would give their right arms to swap places with us and neither of them are going to win all their games. For gods sake keep behind the team and we can do it.

Our run in is very tough, starting today, we are looking tired and jaded, Cardiff still look very string
