    Their Machine Head album was the first record of any type that I bought.

    Had the misfortune of wasting my time watching them at Motorpoint last winter; real disappointment. Don't know why I bothered going to see old men way past their prime.

    I couldn't agree more , saw Sabbath , original line up , in 1997 at Milton Keynes bowl ......it was fantastic but even then I thought time to hang up the boots

    Same for purple , kiss , rush , Judas priest etc

    At the time they brought in Ian Gillan and Roger Glover to give the band a much harder + louder sound and boy does this track show it.

    Deep Purple in Rock is an incredibly heavy album and Gillan's voice is astonishing.

    Saw them in the old Sophia Gardens when they were at their prime. They were so loud the paint was flaking off the ceiling.
