Another time. At the infamous 3-3 game with the Jacks, there was an old scruffy guy ( he made Wurzel Gummidge look like man at C&A) standing near me all game. He kept shouting “ that defence stinks!!”. When Buchanon scored the famous equaliser, the old guy turned round amongst all the celebrations, grabbed me, and as he’s shouting (told you that defence fu*king stinks”) his false teeth shot out, hit me on the shoulder, and they got trampled on in the frenzy!

If a team scored six they would spell it out in case you thought it was 0!!

[QUOTE=William Treseder;4865161]And the only way you could find out the latest scores from other games was to wait for the PA to read them out at half time and full time? Lol!![/QUOTE
On the side of the pitch perimeter walls there were a series of letters a to k they represented a game from the first division and at half time someone would come out with numbers ie 1-1,2- 1 and so on and place them along side the letters that’s how you got your half time scores also do your remember the guys in white coats walking around the pitch perimeter selling food and fags from big wooden trays strapped to the front of them, talking of guys in white coats l think I’m going mad

The only way I get to see the Half-Time scores is by squinting at telly in the concourse, because I sure as 'ell can't get any 4G at the ground!
