Thread: Old furniture

    Old furniture

I have some stuff to dispose, too good for scrap but needs refurbishing.
I've tried a couple of charities but they want it in saleable condition, which it isn't without the aforementioned refurbishing.

I've seen on news progs (some time ago) that there are charity workshops around that do this sort of thing, but I can't find them.

    Can anyone help?

There's usually someone on here that knows such obscure things.

Items are Dining table, six dining chairs and a Welsh Dresser.

I don't know if you have 'men shed' over there.
If you do, these guys might be interested. Sounds like the ideal thing for them

Ask on Planet Swamp. They'll fight over stuff like that on there.

There is an App called LetGo that I think is globally available - you post a picture and commentary and can mark things as free or ask for some cash for them. It’s effectively a ‘classified ads’ app. Takes about 5 mins to get it set up and have your stuff visible.

As has been said track 2000 or red cross, red cross will come out and collect but they won't take it if it's on its arse

    Re: Old furniture

    good luck with it

I had a single bed and a set of Ikea drawers, still looked mint, from the spare room, the bed has been slept in less that 50 nights, the furniture looked great, i would go as far as looked new

so i contacted charities around Bath / Bristol and Swindon, ideal for someone moving into a flat, no-one wanted it
