Football has been complicated by all the analysis we see on the telly

I would love Warnock to take us up and for us to be described as a pub team etc

    Bring it on
Warnocks way is what it is , take it or leave it, but it works. Warnocks way and promotion or tippy tappy and mid table ?Those are the options I see with the squad we have. Three BIG games to go, Two BIG results required.

To be fair he never claims he is a fan.

Historically, Fulham are not a big club and I don't believe they have the potential to be one either. The difference is that in City's case attendances have very clearly dropped from then levels they were a few years back despite the team gaining better results. Most people would expect Cardiff's attendances to be higher than they are and I know that applies to you. After all, you were predicting a crowd of 23,000 to 25,000 last night only 48 hours ago.
So, if its garbage, why did they only get 20800 for the Brentford derby with over 3000 away fans, why did they get 20984 for the game against us, with 3200 City fans etc etc etc. You are far too quick to dismiss anyone elses opinions and dont like being challenged on yours. As I said, waste of time discussing anything with you. PS. I didnt predict a crowd of 23-25000, I said that was what I was hoping for.

But, we keep getting results through this style of play and are on the verge of promotion. I've enjoyed the most part of this season, but can't get my head around how we've achieved this. I can honestly say that I've never seen a team in this position play so poorly, or attempt not to play, like a boxer who holds and spoils because the other fighter is more gifted, has better movement, footwork etc, but gets the job done with a style of tactics that is difficult to watch or understand.
To be fair I can understand this. Far better than my mate said its like legalised cheating.

However defensively we are superb for this level.

Its all about getting the results now. Wherever we finish it will be an outstanding effort and anyone saying we dont play any football at all is talking bollox. We have played quality stuff in the final 3rd during the season. You could swear we had Hoillet Zahore and a bunch of Gareth Stokers if you listened to someone who rarely sees us but gets texts.

Manga Bennett Ralls Grugic are all good on the ball. Patterson is a big goal threat from midfield.

We are going to finish 2nd or 3rd. You dont get there just being anti football.

Discussing things with you is evidently a total waste of time as you don't read what people have actually written and you attribute opinions to people that they have never expressed.

Firstly, I am not a fan of the team. I am a football fan who has watched the team on plenty of occasions this season, both at games and on TV, but I haven't actively supported Cardiff City since 2012.

Secondly, I have nothing negative to say about Neil Warnock as an individual. I think he's done an incredible job at Cardiff City and he often amuses me with the things he said. His grizzling about officials often wears thin, but overall he's an entertaining character. People reckon Malky Mackay played the crowd - this man's the media master.

Thirdly, I have never stated that attendances are low because of the re-brand or the Emperor's ownership. They are undoubtedly contributing factors - something I know for a fact as I personally know former supporters who don't attend for those very reasons - and I believe anyone who thinks they are not factors is an idiot. Some of the most prominent contributors to this message board in past years are proof positive of the effect the re-brand had and continues to have. However, there are obviously other factors involved in the low attendances, one of which is obviously the style of football this season. As I've said, I'm of the belief it's the most significant one at the moment based on what the fans I've talked to in recent months have told me.

I am perfectly happy to accept any explanations which make sense. You previously said you expected 23,000 to 25,000 to turn up last night. Only 21,000 did (if the official figures are accurate, and we know they include plenty of season ticket holders who didn't attend). If you are dismissing my explanations, then what are yours?

In one post you claimed Fulham get no more than 17,000 home fans each game. In another you said they had 17,800 home fans at the Brentford game. Make up your mind. Be honest, you're plucking figures out of thin air. As I said they had 19,003 against Burton. Do you reckon there were 2,000 Burton fans present? They had 22,076 against Forest. Do you reckon 5,000 Forest fans were in attendance? They had 24,547 against Villa. So, 7,500 Villa fans you reckon?

What’do you watch these days TLG? A lad I’m friends with who had a similar position to yourself in regards the rebrand now follows his local welsh league team.
Seems to be enjoying it i and he’s running their seconds.

As regards live football, I only watch Wales games, the occasional City game (a handful in the last two seasons) and any games I can find when I'm on holiday abroad.

Yes, defensively we have been superb. We have played some decent stuff in the final third, almost always leading up to a goal, breakaway stuff. The issue I have is the inability to keep the ball when we are under pressure, we may have decent ball players, but there isn't much opportunity to witness this as more often than not, nobody wants to receive it, it isn't necessarily the players, more the tactics that are employed. Our midfield hardly ever dominate a game, they react and chase, that's difficult to watch in my opinion. But, when all is said and done, we are looking good for promotion, if we do get there, then it'll be the most 'unique' brand of football I've ever witnessed.

I reckon Forest would ha e taken close to 4,000,Villa would have taken close to 7,500, and I think they had a special offer for the Burton game.

I am not plucking figures out of thin air - the Brentford and City figures are correct and you are doing your usual trick of ignoring/dismissing any evidence that goes against you and ploughing on regardless making your own up. Fulhams average home gate is 19800 by the way and yes Villa and Forest did take large followings to Fulham. Earlier you said that you only saw about 800 Brentford fans in the away end at Fulham - you obviously plucked that one out of thin air or didn't have your glasses on - their own website confirms sales of 2500+ two days before the game. Perhaps that explains why you never see City play well on tv - you either make it up or cant see it properly.

Really? You're the guy who claims to have give up nearly 6 years ago..

I didn't hear you complaining when we were plagued by hooligans for years. In fact you socialised with same. Some hooligan wrote a book and you were in awe. (Not *****. )
You were a hooligan groupie. I'm the idiot? Better an idiot than sad.

Maybe Warnock has a plan, everything will change-a needs must approach, although I can't see that happening. Anyway, I've actually enjoyed the season so far, not the football-if we go up, it'll be one of the most magnificent, strangest things that I have ever witnessed.
Changing the subject!!!, what's the best way to remove artex? not by scraping, that's hard work up a ladder , can we buy (locally) a solution of some sort to apply on it ?

Oi, if you don't mind I'm trying to line Dan up for a job, subtly of course, get your size 10's out I have seen some videos on YouTube in which a paste substance is applied and the artex (which is combed, ceiling and the area above the picture rail) comes off easy with a scrapper, the artex has been on for about 15/20 years I think.

It's below what we'd like, but it's hardly shocking. Are you really shocked?

What sort of crowds do you think we should be getting? What would it take to get you to mildly surprised? Or just underwhelmed?
