Then in July got free tickets for the entire weekend of Two Thousands Trees just down the road from where I live. Enter Shikari are headlining. So a nice mix of up and coming bands and 80’s stuff.
Seen enter Shikari , not as heavy as most of the stuff I listen to but good band

P.S You are sooo right about Shitpop. Was there one decent band to come out of the whole era?
A good lady friend of mine is saying she's taking a van load of us up there , if she's still with her husband , Scott Gorham what a guitarist

Yeah Elephant Fair in '86 was a blast! Went there for a whole week. Left on the Sunday morning tho. Can't remember any of the bands that played. I did speak to Dave Brock when I was there, so I think Hawkwind must have played ?

I can't stand big venues. Looking at dots in the distance or at a video screen isn't a gig for me.

I think i had a mild dose of food poising that night, had a falafel wrap with salad during the day, i think the salad was a bit iffy

It had nothing to do with the 2/3 's of a bottle of Vodka and had a few pints i had from lunch time till the end of the night

In later years me and mates would club in for a motorhome , expensive but worth it , I am not into holidays and all the pissing about with airports and passports etc so a long weekend chilling out and listening to music would replace that

Wish I could go back to being 21 again

Last great band I saw in the open air was the original black Sabbath line up with tool in support at the Milton Keynes bowl in 1998
