Personally wouldn't have done it myself given the choice as a grown up, but glad my parents took me.

Their attire is ridiculous, but then I find blokes with 40 years on the clock and 36 inches on the waist dressing up to look like a footballer at a football game ridiculous. I'm not advocating that their hard drives be seized though.

We all go to football matches as supporters dressed up in our teams colours and end up with one of 3 results - they go to a hospital as supporters of the royal family dressed in union jacks and end up with one of 2 results.

None at all. Football supporters can, however, hide under the umbrella of popularity.
