They knew full well what they were doing with the Manchester city coach and encouraged it to happen with the Merseyside police in cahoots with them. When the route was being changed because of building works man city asked to be able to take the coach the original route but were refused. The police even put out a public announcement saying the route had been changed on the day of the match.
Why do they think it’s their right and part of the anfield atmosphere that the visiting team coach has to run the gauntlet on the way to the ground. We could only dream of our club getting to that stage of a European competition but we all know what reaction we would have had if we behaved the same way.
