In 30 years of watching city that Dave Jones team was unquestionably the most entertaining
One of those passers McPhail if you put someone within a few yards was taken out of the game. Game either bypassed him or backwards passes putting the defence under pressure. Not helped by a manager and is rigid 442 which didnt help a player like Mcphail and a big man little man strike force. Totally clueless in what to do if Bothroyd got injured as shown in the play off final and now youve reminded me of the Kelvin Etuhu susbstitution when we had McCormack on the bench.
Days like this our 442 was allowed to dominate.
Its no coincidence we were promoted not long after there was a change of manager and change to the centre of midfield.
