    Not sure why Sainsbury's would want Asda as a brand - it's the supermarket for utter chavs.

    Arent Asda still owned by Walmart ? ? ?

    A strange business choice that, cannot see who would gain anything from it, apart from even bigger buying power

    Sainsbury’s now own Argos too. I’m sure the monopoly and mergers commission will be taking a look.

    Yes. Wall Mart will swallow up Sainbury's/Argos as they are far larger. However the Competition Commissioner might have something to say about the proposed merger.
