Thread: Can't we just do a 'deal' with Reading ?

Can't we just do a 'deal' with Reading ?

Given that if we match Fulham's result - we're up. If Reading match Birmingham's result - they're safe (irrespective of how Barnsley or Burton do).
Simple then - just make sure both benches are keeping a close watch on events at St Andrews and instruct their teams match them goal for goal. If Fulham score, Reading immediately let us walk one in. If Brum score we return the compliment. Of course both sides would need quite a few long injury stops to make sure there's at least 12 minutes injury time at the end so that there's time to cancel out any very late goal at Birmingham.
We could always promise Reading that if they agree to this we would spend say £10million of our new vast fortune to buy their worst player as nominated by them.
    Job done !

Sounds easier just to beat them

Alright but I will need time to think about our worst player. There is a long list.

I'm afraid that for £10 million we're only prepared to take one. We'll give £50 for three and that's our final offer !

How about 'Let us win and we will allow you to go home without any serious injury '

Used to work in the 80d

    Great idea!

Would’ve been even better if we both needed a point . A record attendance watching the dullest 0-0 in history (think it happened at the World Cup once - Austria v W.Germany)

I might stick a tenner on us having at least 12 minutes of injury time next Sunday.
Mannone and Etheridge to spend a considerable amount of time receiving ‘treatment’ during the second half.

And Birmingham v Fulham commentary being played through the PA system at the CCS.
