According to the web (not gospel) cardiff pitch is 110 x 75 yards.

Making the pitch smaller would mean our set pieces and throw-ins would be a lot easier and make our pressing game without the ball slightly easier.

Haven't they done that already? I might be mistaken but the pitch definitely looks more narrow these days than it used to.

Not sure thats quite right, I haven't seen many 90m wide pitches about

"Of course one of the other things about a football pitch is that it must maintain its aspect ratio, so to speak, meaning that you’ll never see a pitch that is 90 metres by 90 metres. This may fit in with the minimum and maximum sizes but it wouldn’t keep the ratio correct so it wouldn’t be allowed."

So not possible to have 120 x 45m pitch for example.

EDIT: And never possible to actually have a 50m wide pitch either?

Much of our games seems to take place along the Grandstand touchline either side of the half way line. If the pitch was narrowed the coaches would need to shout louder or walk further.

Kenny hibbit tried this mid 90s. It didn’t work.
