Thread: World Cup shop window

    World Cup shop window

We will be able to watch the World Cup this summer and speculate that we could be signing a whole host of players on show.

Or do you think NW will stick with players closer to home?

Actually has Neil had such a transfer budget available to him before?

It seems he spent £3.6m on Faurlin, £4m on Sean Wright Phillips, £1m on Luke Young back in his spell at QPR a few years ago.

But now we could be looking at £10m + players

I guess most of those players would be going for close to 10m in the current climate at a similar point of their careers.

Tried to get 3 Jacks, plus Bellamy and Scott Parker....

QPR were a shit show in that pre-season. No wonder Warnock has no time for Tony Fernandes

Although I hope are are NOT using the world cup as a shopping opportunity.
Players can seem great over a small number of games and then command a hugely inflated fee that they don't merit.
Sissoko had a great euro 16, and got a big move to spurs for upwards of £30m.
Before and after the euros he was and is very average.

Bradley Wright Phillips maybe. Still banging them in for NY Red Bulls. 2 in 3 record. Maybe a couple of years left in him! Another on £60k per week though!
