Thread: Danny Drinkwater on loan

    Danny Drinkwater on loan

Possibly a bit out of our league, but just the type of player we need to replace Gunner.
Not getting a game with Chelsea, maybe we could take him on loan and pay half his wages, although even half his salary may be out of our price range.

Ross Barkley is another if he's fit

    Not a bad shout.

Agreed, he would be just the ticket if available.

This is what we need to do, initially at least, loanees with experience.

I’d rather not. I think he only looks good because of the players around him. We need someone to be the main man and I don’t think he can fulfill that role

No - guessing he was a bit off his game.

He was terrible here before, his wages will be huge. He will be happy to earn a fortune whilst not playing, he’s one of them....

Warnock had him on loan at Leeds (he played against us at Elland Road in our first promotion season) and judging by comments I read some time ago, wasn't convinced by him e.g.

Drinkwater would be a good signing I reckon, but, as mentioned above, wages would be an issue.
