    Kaka?
    Messi?
    Kroos?

In general. The obscene amounts of money the top 4 clubs in the premier league now have to spend is a fairly new phenomenon. Anyway, we are drifting, the fact is a manager with a reputation for bringing on youngsters has put Woodburn in the 1st team squad, and I don't think he will be going out on loan anytime soon.

I really hope that Woodburn gets into Liverpool's first team soon but that's extremely unlikely. He's already behind a whole host of players at Liverpool and it'll only get worse as they inevitably strengthen in the summer

A season of competitive football will be far more beneficial to his development than the occasional appearance on the subs bench and captaining the Under 19s
Fully agree. It took a long time for Liverpool to loan out Harry Wilson whose development stagnated. I hope they don’t make the same mistake with Woodburn.

Would Woodburn benefit more from being a member of the Liverpool first team squad and training with world class players everyday, gently being eased into the team by learning his positional role during practice games, or from playing for a team like Hull? Note that Wilson was not offered the option of joining the Liverpool 1st team. If the answer is the latter then why didn't Klopp send him out on loan last January?

He'd learn a hell of a lot more playing first team football than he would in practice games

Gently being eased into the team? Load of bollocks, he made more appearances last season and is highly unlikely to play more than one or two in 18/19 with the way Liverpool rely on their front three, he already has a number of players between him and the first eleven and this gap will only grow as Liverpool bring in even more players

In that case Klopp needs to be fired immediately for wasting 6 months of Ben Woodburn's life. The man is clearly an idiot. Hopefully Liverpool will then appoint somebody from this message board to manage the club, and lead them to European glory

Again with the "Klopp knows better than you"

The crux of the matter is does Klopp know what he is doing? He is the one who decided to promote Woodburn to the Liverpool first team, rather than send him out on loan.

He might know what he's doping but no one is infallible, every manager makes mistakes, without exception. Perhaps he didn't lend him out because none of the trams who wanted him were considered good for his development.
