Seen it a few times now and it is way better than that heap of shite, The Last Jedi. They have done a good job with this and it answers loads of little incidental things from the original trilogy. Card games, Kessel Run, blaster, etc.

"flopped" at the US box office opening weekend.
They were predicting takings of $130M.
    But it took 'only' $103M.

Still enough to be No 1.

Anything with Emilia Clarke in is worth a watch.

doesnt say, though i might have missed a slight reference to it, though one character does appear to be a female for the sake of Diversity is a surprise

I couldnt think of where i had seen her, a quick IMDB search and she was in " Spike Island " and then of course GoT ( which i only watched the first series, so i guess it was that )

I did, its a bit of " night out " to see bigger films, Meerkat movies meant i spent £25 on tickets and about £15 on popcorn and drinks, 40 quid for a night out for the 4 of us, sometimes big films ( read star wars ) need the big screen experience

maxime in Blackwood is great value. £2.50 entry, a hot dog a similar price, drinks as well makes it less than a tenner a head.

premier in cardiff not too dissimilar

I thought person in The hologram with the red head and horns was from a different film
The one where he had a double ended light sabre
What’s he doing as chief of the crimson tide

Sundries aren’t included in the box office takings - if they were that number would have probably been $500 million

Thought I was going mad, with you all giving it positive reviews, so I found this, he basically articulates all my issues much better than I could.
