Are the red seats being changed to blue - anyone know?

I don't want to start the old red/blue thing again - I'm bored with it

I really hope so. They look terrible red. Would draw a huge line under all that and we can move on. I hate to see the red seats looming above the Ninian.

As much as I’d like to see it happen, blue seats with ‘BLUEBIRDS’ in white on the upper Ninian, I just can’t see the club spending money on it at the moment.

Get over it and move on.
Do you really want money spent on that?
By the way if you sit in the Ninian Stand you don’t notice them.

I might be wrong, but I remember somebody saying that stadium improvements dont count towards FFP. I for one wont be sorry to see the back of those awful red seats, especially those stupid stickmen ayatollah things.

Those white seats that look like images of a sphincter should definitely go.

Re: Are the red seats being changed to blue - anyone know?

I am over it. It’s in our past.

It’s just that when there are 5000 odd seats in red looming over the stadium it serves as a constant reminder about it all.

It’s like moving on from your ex wife when there are photos all over the house !

For the sake of a £10 a seat ? It would only cost £50,000 to fix. Small change from our guaranteed £90 million next year.

Move on and find something else to moan about!

I am fairly sure they are here to stay.

Are we really worrying about the colour of a few seats?

I hated the red but couldn't give a monkeys about the red seats.

Personally I would prefer any money put towards the recruitment of players rather than bloody seats. They will all be full next season anyway so wouldn't care if they were pink with yellow poker-dots as you won't see them regardless. Seriously, this is hardly a priority on our return to the Premier is it. Just gald we got these extra seats that will increase our revenue stream. Good old Vinny knew what he was doing all along.

Surely if you order 5000 your gonna get some sort of discount.

    Even at £40 a seat it’s only £200,000.

    I’d want naming rights first.

And the cost of removing the old ones and installing new ones?

Free. Get the club apprentices to do it. Socket set each sorted.

Cost of disposing of several tonnes of plastic as well.

It would actually be easier to encourage everyone to knit their own blue seat cover

Sitting in the front of that stand is about the best view in the stadium and as I haven't got eyes in my arse the colour doesn't bother me.
If anybody is 'offended' by the red, they should think of them as seats for the Wales games they were generally only used for.

Re: Are the red seats being changed to blue - anyone know?

    Just taken this from Wiki:

    Summary of current FFP Regulations

Only a club’s outgoings in transfers, employee benefits (including wages), amortisation of transfers, finance costs and dividends will be counted over income from gate receipts, TV revenue, advertising, merchandising, disposal of tangible fixed assets, finance, sales of players and prize money. Any money spent on infrastructure, training facilities or youth development will not be included.
Cmon Mr Tan, have a bit of pride in your home and get rid of the graffiti in the Ninian Stand. Those stick men things are an embarrassment.

I agree ! I just don’t like them and I think it looks an eye sore and reminds of bad times at our club.
