Anyone changed their mind since the Brexit referendum?

Let's not go through the old arguments or descend into juvenile gammon-speak etc - buy have you, members of your family, friends or colleagues changed opinion since the vote? I genuinely want to know and I don't have an agenda of any description. Would name-callers and those indulge in Punch and Judy spats please give this thread a miss.

I've gone from being a remainer who came very close to voting leave to far more firmly in the remain camp - not sure that's changing my mind, but I've moved quite a way on the subject. I try to avoid discussing the subject if possible. so I don't think it's too much of a surprise when I say none of the people I know have admitted to changing their mind - it's a subject where opinions tend to be very entrenched I suppose.

I've just mugged a 'Remain' supporter, I took £350 out of his wallet, but he didn't seem to mind. I felt a bit sorry for him, so I gave half of it back, but only on the condition that he spent it on things I say he can and that everything he buys should have a picture next to it of me saying I'd paid for it. He agreed. We are meeting again tomorrow to do the same thing. He said it was a fantastic idea and that he wouldn't be able to survive without me.

If you'd have kept the lot and then mugged another 999,999 people for the same amount you could have donated the lot to the NHS thereby saving the Government one of it's weekly payments .

I voted to remain ,however having listened to the Europeans I'm well out , the very first thing they forced to agree on was supporting thier bloated pension fund .

They are diversify Europe , picking on the weak , whilst tge strongbsuch as Germany and France get stronger and they are only true benefactors.

All they had to do was agreed with Dave Boy and curb freedom of movement .

I fear they kept movement In place too enable the poorer countries to exploit our generous beneficial systems, such as health ,better minimum wage ,schooling
(all of which we take advantage of and moan about ), that migration provided relief to those homeland countries such as Poland and Romania .

Would 100% vote leave if another vote, the way in which a democratic vote is being pushed aside is shameful.

Have never voted Tory, but have never been given another chance because I didn't like the result.

I'm with Jeremy the Brexiter, I don't think he is at all authoritarian and threatening, he seems like he is a man of the people

It's ironic that southern Europeans think that the Germans are exploiting them whilst many Germans consider that Germany is subsidising the southern European states (and while working longer hours and retiring later). Can any of you economists shine a light on how things really pan out between the two entities?

Remain then for 2 simple reasons that. One our GDP wouldn't have had to take much of a hit to nullify the savings made in contributions I.e. It just wasn't worth the risk in order to trade with a load of countries we can already trade with that are thousands of miles away.

2nd was that I just didn't think we would get our act together. Didnt actually see it going quite this badly. From a few chats with friends of friends who worked in the political sphere in London and Brussels their focus was always on the impossible task of negotiating lots of trade deals in a short period of time without conceding on lots of important points. They said we didn't have the civil servants to do this and none of the British in Brussels with the requisite skills were coming home.

Mind definitely not changed and I feel the economic argument has already been vindicated. We will wait and see with trade deals but given the way the negotiations with Europe have gone I don't hold out much hope.

Ps now I think about it there was a third reason. I actually like being able to move around Europe without much in the way. Not saying we won't be allowed to after brexit but the risk is there.

I don't think we are any less doomed than the EU and if anywhere has an inequality crisis it is here. I don't know why you are so convinced leaving will fix anything. You are just giving a tiny bit more power to a bunch of people who don't want anything to change.
