    Home Brewed Ales

Anyone here brew their own beer?

I used to brew from a can many years ago, and generally it was crap. I've just started all grain brewing, using malted barley and hops, which is a whole lot different and only about 40p a pint. Must be some bluebirds doing this?

Knew someone here would be. Only done three brews so far. All IPA's using Chinook and Citra. First was 10 litres, a really good brew but almost 6% so not a session ale! The second was 20 litre and I had to pour it away, due to crap yeast. The third is in the FV and tastes really good, bottling on the weekend.

Any suppliers near the capital? I did see one up the valleys but nothing nearby. although I did get an old fridge in Treorchy which I've converted into a brew fridge. It's a steep learning curve isn't it.
