Nice to see us getting stuff sorted. Especially when the window closes so early this year.

Interesting to see if those 2 or 3 loans come off now!

Sky reporting that fee in the region of £3.5 mil.

Obviously well liked at Preston if that forum is anything to go by. However, a lot of their fans are making similar points with regards to not being the same player since his return from a really bad injury. Bit of a concern, but as always we have to trust that our manager knows what he is doing in this regard.

Still slightly concerned that we have signed a LB and not a RB.
I know we have said Bennett not going anywhere but if the price is right.

Here's hoping that NW gets his number one target soon, now he's got Murphy and Cunningham.

I wonder if they put it through spell check first.

There's a suggestion in a Wales Online article that Cunningham could be used as a left sided centreback in a back three.

There could be something in this. He's tall and comfortable on the ball.

Exactly, he's straight out of the Warnock manual. Good player, good character, hungry for a chance in the Prem.

I’d like to take this opportunity to thank the management, staff, players and particularly the fans for these past 3 years at @pnefc. I’ve enjoyed every minute at Preston and gave my all. I want to wish the club all the success for the future. Thank you! (Quote from social media).

Would definitely appear to be a good Character. Don't see many players trotting out stuff like this.

I hope so. I was very impressed with a 3-4-3 formation Southampton played at Swansea last season.

Becoming a 5-4-1 when backs against the wall.

Can see this working with maybe Patterson as the right hand side wing back ?

I suspect Cunningham will be our no1 left back

    I dont.

    Re: Cunningham deal

I think he will be, I think he’s a better player honestly. I think Bennett is decent but I’m not his biggest fan admittedly.

    Re: Cunningham deal

Bennett was one of our best players last season, best left back we have had in years. If he gets injured though who is going to play there?
I think the two of them will be fighting it out for the starting left back slot.

Evidently. Only been here a few days and already knows his way around better than me!

Bit of a kick in the teeth for Joe Bennett, maybe some incentive for him to consider the Fulham move now.

IMO we a right back was the priority.
