Thanks for all the tips. I think I've got most of that covered except the trip to Vancouver Island. Got a couple of winery tours lined up in the Okanagan, just using Kelowna as a base for a couple of days. 3 days on the Ice Parkway, staying at Sunwapta Falls instead of Jasper. 10 weeks & counting down!

Has anyone ever had any luck in getting tickets for the maple leafs? I read plenty about fans being priced out of nhl games but hard to get any actual ticket information. Visiting toronto later in the year.

You’ll get a ticket if you want one, but every seat is sold for every game. Use Stub Hub or similar and you’ll get some. Not cheap

I'm in the Sheraton in Toronto at the moment, flying back tmrw. Toronto is great, although you can do it all in 3-4 days really. We stayed for 5 nights in a holiday Inn express which was unfortunately opposite a salvation army shelter and the surrounding area was where the homeless congregated. Not a problem but we had to be careful which route we used when coming back late. The st Lawrence market was nearby and incredible, we did the CN tower as it got dark (amazing) and did 2 trips to the islands by ferry and chilled out. The right hand side is tranquil and left hand side very busy and commercialised. We hired a car and stayed outside Niagara for a night (incredible) and went to Huntsville for 24hrs., Huntsville is a hell of a way for not much to see, but my fault :(. With hindsight I'd have done 3/4 nights in Toronto and done an overnight in Niagara itself, and maybe flown to new York or Chicago for 3 nights. Thoroughly recommend it.

Huntsville is just a base to discover the Muskoka’s really. Quaint town but itf that’s all you see you’d be done in 45 mins unfortunately. There is some incredible scenery if you get close to the lakes though, literally thousand of islands and swimming in the fresh water lakes and jumping off a dock is one of life’s pleasures - as a visiting friend once said “it’s like swimming in effing Volvic”

Glad you enjoyed the city though

    Safe travels
