    Argentina Woes Linked With FIFA

Intresting article below on Argies woes, and suggesting that it's deeper than just a bunch of overpaid players and poor a manager and tactics.

    """""
When the US Justice Department concluded its investigation into Fifa corruption, 40 people including many senior figures in the world body were charged. In an attempt to buy themselves leniency, 24 co-operated with the investigation. Jose Hawilla, who had amassed a fortune bribing football officials in return for TV rights, handed over $151m to the US government so that he might spend less or even no time behind bars. He sold his share of Traffic, the company he founded, its various divisions, his TV stations, the multiple farms outside Sao Paulo, four houses in Brazil, the condominium in Florida, the car collection, the art collection, the newspapers. All liquidated and traded for leniency. Julio Grondona, president of the AFA for 35 years and Fifa vice-president until his death in 2014, became a multimillionaire from bribes paid to him by Hawilla and others. Grondana’s successor, Luis Seguro, was soon arrested by Argentine authorities and charged with “aggravated administrative fraud”. Tens of millions that should have been used to better prepare Argentina’s national football teams were stolen. """"

The manager is clearly guilty of poor decision making.

That black v neck t-shirt with the tight trousers/jacket was shocking.

Yep, I was expecting Argentina to field 11 proper football players.
