I think they competed up until the goal to save face then thought ,hmmmm, maybe not ,there were a few strange shots and efforts ,Rashford 's being one of them, no one seemed to be dying in a ditch to win this one .

Twitter suggesting it was manager speak rather than any sign of allegiance.

Don't think we can make too much out of it just yet.

Is it an easier draw? The difference is one game cause Colombia and Spain or Croatia (most likely) won't be easy games.

The hypocrisy is unreal. Neville a so called expert was absolutely certain Belgium would settle for a draw. They deservedly won.
Colombia are a dangerous side for Engkand but if they are without Rodriguez won’t be the same force.

They got the players to win though even thier second side looks good.
Japan followed by one of Brazil or Mexico isn't significantly harder than England's draw of Colombia (who would have battered Japan if they hadn't had a man sent off about 5 minutes in) and one of Sweden (who smashed Mexico 3-0) and Switzerland (who drew with Brazil)

The arrogance of the English to call this an "easy route" to the semi final is astounding

Hey! They (or "we" - it doesn't seem to matter) battered the mighty Iceland two years ago. Everything is easy after that.

I actually thought England had more depth than Belgium before today. Much more quality and composure from the Belgian reserves.

What an complete and utter waste of 2 hrs of my life ............... I thought the France Vs Denmark match was the worst game so far - How wrong I was

Well as the pundits have all but agreed - Ingurland has the easiest route to the Final
