I hadn’t realised this but...
Currently we have three defensive minded midfielders on our books.
- Ralls
- Damour
- Stuart O’Keefe
We have let Grujic and Bryson leave us when their loan finished and so has Gunnarsson unless he signs a new contract meaning we will have 5 midfielders at the club.... (Tomlin and Paterson).

O’Keefe will go. Warnock don’t rate him. He moved him out at Palace I believe.
Damour could do with another season in the championship in my opinion.

Just had a quick look on Wiki - and Shelvey made 87 appearances for Newcastle over the last 2 seasons (not sure how that broke down).
That is despite his bans for racial abuse of Romain Saiss and his stamp on Dele Alli.

A player i mentioned a while back - Walace a brazilian deefensive midfielder at Hamburg (who just got relegated to 2 bundesliga)
Has just been picked up for €5 million by Hanover 96 a mid table german side.
I think he would have been ideal for us, and very much within our budget.
But would a Brazilian be happy to settle in Cardiff or South Wales in general ?

Fabio didn't have any problems being here.
True however I’d say he was the exception. Plus he was brought through Manchester youth system and had settled in this country long before signing for us.
