    Glad Spain are out. Their tiki taka drives me mad. So does their berating of the referee.

    I’m also glad the they didn’t get that pen via VAR at the end. It was a little jostling in the box, hardly the rugby tackles we’ve seen by the Panama defenders.

    Russia had 21% possession, a well drilled defence, great team spirit and a willingness to tackle (sometime within the law). And won!

    I knew I'd miss pretty much all the first half, so I Sky+ 'd it.

    Wtched the 90 mins...
    Watched 13 mins of ET...
    Then found that Sky hadn't allowed for ET and the recording cut out!

    I don't know much about the Lopetegui led-Spain team, but I thought he'd added an extra dimension to the tiki-taka thing? Would he have utilised the squad better?
