    No. I think he was a talented musician. Played more than one instrument - guitar, bass and piano all by ear as he couldn’t read music. I think that requires talent so maybe our interpretation of talented is different.

    Now if you meant BRILLIANT guitarist that’d be different, but I wouldn’t count John Bonham in that category😀

    He couldn't play any of them very well wether he read by ear or not

    John Bonham is genuinely accepted to be one of the best drummers of all time

    Couple of mentions for Ian Curtis who I don’t think Sludge will allow due to his lack of brilliance with an instrument. Sadly that also discounts Jim Morrison
