Where would Cardiff City Holdings get that money from is the question you have to ask yourself, and then you’ll have your answer

Whilst this seems like an excellent gesture from Mr Tan, you've got to wonder whether this would have happened if we'd still been in the Championship this coming season, without the revenue streams that will now be on tap.

Excellent news and further thanks to NW for enabling Mr Tan to do the promised thing.

Wasn't he already putting the maximum in each year that he was allowed in the Championship, under FFP? Or am I making that up?

I’ve scanned over the articles and replies to this thread but can’t see anything about how much remaining debt we have.

We are still running at a loss as well, no?

What have the parachute payments gone towards?

The headline in the WOL link shows we are still £50M in debt. It appears that one more year in the Prem (if we survive) would be enough to clear the debt if he's allowed to put £66M in now that we're up

We were running at a loss in the championship, there is a chance we could use the tv money to make a profit this year.

    Parachute payment cover players wages.

    Re: CLUB STATEMENT

The contrast between this summer, and the last time we were in the Prem is staggering.

We are signing young, hungry players instead of mercenaries
Tieing down our good players on longer contracts
Weve got the best kit weve had in years
Clubs sorting out the debt, whilst also giving NW a sizeable kitty
Clubs engaging with supporters and everyones pulling in the same direction
    Neil Warnock > Malky Mckay
    Ken Choo > Simon Lim

It really is an unbelievable good feel about our club at the moment.

"But, but, but we have red seats, and he once called us replaceable customers"

    Oh piss off.

Dont worry, he will find something else 'important' to moan about. The height of Mr Tans wasteband, the length of his moustache etc etc.

And even further thanks to Mr Tan for employing NW in the first place, so enabling Mr Tan to do the promised thing. PS We couldnt do the 'promised thing' in the Championship due to FFP and other regulations. (Didnt want to disappoint anyone by not responding).
