He went to school in Blackwood, so maybe he wants Blackwood Town FC to reach the premier league ahead of Caerphilly United (if such a team exists) and Cardiff City?

Well you hear other footballers speaking about their home town clubs achievements and was considering the achievement and shock of us going up i was wondering if anyone heard anything along that line ,wish I hadn't asked now
This is more about the inference you draw if they didn't say anything.For me I couldn't give a toss either way.
The only "star" footballers I can think of from Cardiff in my lifetime are Bale, Bellamy and Toshack. Piss poor really.

I’d forgotten about Chinaglia. He was born in Italy but moved to Cardiff aged five. Here’s an interview with him during his time in the US in the 70s. Still had a Cardiff twang there
Cardiff City does just belong to people born in Cardiff? It’s Fanbase is 1.5m, covering the area from Bridgend to Newport and the Valleys. I reckon less than half our crowds are from the City itself?
This ones been done many times on here. A few years ago the club did show the figures of season ticket holders based on postcode. I’m pretty sure that the majority came from CF postcodes within the City itself.
