    Away travel

Before I go any further, I acknowledge those involved in supporters clubs do a thankless job. Organisation must be a pain in the neck.

I was reading an article on Salford City and the amount they're paying players. I also spotted a notice for away travel to games. Sutton United away, 234 miles from Salford - £15. Salford to Gateshead - £10.

Opening game of the season, travel to Bournemouth 120 miles - £25.

    I'm curious that's all.

I remember reading last season Salford’s away travel was £5.

The club must be subsidising some cost surely.

    Has to be subsidised.

Have done it for years and although you might get some games where you are over, you also get a lot where you lose out.

Went to Newcastle with 19 on the coach last away in the prem.

Lost about £500 on that one trip.

I know of similar stories from some of the other guys.

If you want to help me run the coaches and take half of the profits/ losses then I’d really appreciate it 👍... that’s genuine- not being funny at all

Would you sponsor my flights from Dublin? :).

You'd fill the coach no problem if you used a stewardess.

Sounds like some plastic who doesn't support his local club
