Both will be nominated for their respective categories at SPOTY.
But which will win their categories.
harry golden boot kane will win SPOTY
Any members of the upper classes in it this year ?
Both respected professionals trying their best in their sports?
Kane will win because the BBC have rights to broadcast the world cup and premier league and will show a half hour package displaying Kane's back healing and heading prowess.
They will show one photo of Geraint Thomas.
Great thread.
What a problem for the BBC.
Kane is a loser Geraint a winner but Welsh.
No one saw this coming two weeks ago. Those that follow cycling might have last Tuesday.
No one can deny Thomas must win the award.
Amusing or what.

The BBC are giving more coverage to a non winner with the same name. You could not make this crap up.
I watched Geraint chat on the TV , and he could only talk of Arsenal,is he a plastic ??
They are not really though are they if you look at the bbc page now there is 1 article and 2 videos relating directly to Thomas, and then the "funny" video that also relates to him.
Over the past couple of days i have read several articles off the bbc the cycling page includes a dozen articles and videos, yesterday they put him on the one show as a lead interview on the first day of their program.
Voting on SPOTY can be mobilised, last year the motor cycling community and Northern Ireland and fell just 3,000 votes short of him winning, 83k to 80k.
As a nation we can and should block vote to ensure that the individual award goes to Geraint.
Hoy, Cavendish & Wiggins have all won in recent years, whereas Mr. no personality Froome has been no-where near.
Vote G if only 1/30 Welsh people vote he'll win it.
He has been nominated, a quick google says 2017 and 2013, was controversially left out in 2016. However he is not popular with the British public so he never does well.
I think Thomas will suffer with the fact that many cyclists have won in previous years, and there have been lots of British TdF winners recently and doesnt have the weight of history behind it.
