    The Sack Race

Is it conceivable that Mourinho will be the first managerial casualty this season?

    Yes

    Third favourite with most bookies.

100/1 on there being no manager sacked in the PL.

Put a fiver on Mourinho to be the first manager sacked at 7/1 and a tenner on Warnock winning Manager of the Season at 33/1

I don't think so , is there an obvious replacement.

If he quits, will that still count?

Zidane is being touted as his replacement by most of the papers.

Is he good enough tho, to replace Our Neil?

Personally, I think after what he achieved last season, oh and the one before, especially with the dross we had to put up with from Ole "The Useless One", through Slade and Trollope, Warnock deserves to be given a chance for the whole season!!

    Re: The Sack Race

If you gave me the choice of Warnock versus Mourinho, I take Neil every time. Mourinho buys success, be interesting if he was in charge of a team outside of the top 8 or so. Could he get Newcastle (for instance) into the Champions League on Rafa's budget.

He won the champions league with Porto and Inter Milan

I like him - he's pantomime - like our Neil - but you know they'd leap in front of a flying bullet for you if you give them your all

Bowyer at Blackpool the first to go.

One game in and he's out the door

Can't see him (Mourinho) being sacked. I could see him quitting though.

I don't think that counts as the sack , do you ?

Same as Bowyer left Blackpool for family reasons , hardly the sack.

Usually bookies put in a vague term like "Managerial casualty" or "Next manager to leave".

Did you see that attempt by Guedioura? Unbelievable

The championship is the best league.

On that evidence I really hope Warnock is not after Livermore.

Guedioura or Colback would have been decent acquisitions.

Instead we will probably end up with Greg Halford “making up the numbers”

I've always rated Guerdioura. He ripped us apart in the infamous Watford home game under Slade at Xmas time! He was brilliant but I could have ripped us apart that day mind.
