Thread: Rooting for the top sides in the Premier League

Rooting for the top sides in the Premier League

Normally I would be rooting for a team like Leicester when playing against the likes of Man Utd but it's now in our interests to see the big six hoovering up the points against all and sundry (apart from ourselves, of course).

I agree with you but I don't see Leicester being our relegation rivals

    Leicester are not a rival.

You think Leicester are going to be in trouble?!

They were the better team tonight, there is no way they’ll struggle.

I'll bet you £50 that Leicester will stay up.

And I wager you would have made a similar bet about Everton last year before/after their first game. One of the bigger bottom 13 sides will have a poor season and flirt with relegation, if not go down, so why not Leicester?

It's certainly odd to want the top six not to drop a point all year.

I never want the top dogs to do well, particularly Man United and Arsenal as I see their shirts everywhere in Neath, Port Talbot and Bridgend.

Leicester could be on for a place in Europe this year.

I reckon we need to do well against Palace, Newcastle, Watford, Bournemouth, Huddersfield.

It will be interesting to see how Wolves do, because I think they may have made the same mistakes as us 'when we were red' and therefore struggle.

I wish I made the same bet about Everton, I'd have won £50.
